How do you feel about the death of Osama bin Laden? How do you feel it will affect America in coming days?
Objectives:
Today the students had the opportunity to learn about the Denver Drill. Students were taught about how Denver firefighter Mark Langvardt died in a fire in 1992 and the steps the Denver Fire Department took after his death to ensure that a fatality like that would not happen again. Students used the CTC Denver Drill Prop to practice various methods of firefighter confined space rescues. The Introduction to Firefighitng Class also used a few "new" methods that were not practiced by the Firefighter I Class to rescue the downed firefighter. The students have worked very hard over the last two days and have really gained a great appreciation for how physical firefighting really is.
